Ashley – Office Manager, RDA, Insurance Coordinator
Ashley is wife to the wonderful Dr. Sutak and mother to three amazing children and two fur babies. She knows firsthand what a difference having a positive dental experience can make. In high school, she had a bad experience at a dental office and then avoided the dentist for 5 years!
Thankfully, with the gentleness, kindness, and patience of Dr. Sutak, she has not only overcome her fear, she loves getting her teeth cleaned and Dr Sutak has transformed her smile into one she loves. Together, Dr. Sutak and Ashley became passionate about changing what going to the dentist looks like. They had a dream of creating a spa-like, caring, relaxing, personalized experience. Lone Star Smiles was created!
When Ashley is not helping patients at Lone Star Smiles she enjoys reading a good book or traveling to spend precious time with her family.
Kaci – Lead Registered Dental Assistant
Kaci became a dental assistant in 2021. She decided to become a dental assistant after realizing how much she loved going to the dentist as a kid. An amazing fact about Kaci is she has only worked for Lone Star Smiles. She has been with Lone Star Smiles since the office opened its doors! By working with Lone Star Smiles she has grown a deep passion for dentistry, not only making people confident in their smiles through smile make-overs but also being able to help patients in pain. Kaci is determined to change the stigma and fear around dentistry by using her calming presence alongside Dr. Sutak to ease patients’ dental anxiety.
A little more about Kaci: She was born and raised in West Texas and has lived in Lubbock since 2020. She says there has never been a day she hasn’t wanted to go to work, because of the wonderful team she’s able to work with. When Kaci isn’t working on teeth, she loves to listen to music, go to concerts, and spend time with family and friends!
Meegan – Patient Care and Insurance Coordinator
Meegan is our patient care coordinator! She works hard to get patients scheduled, checked in, and does the hard work of calling and verifying patients’ insurance prior to their visits. She worked as an R.N. in Colorado for 20 years before “retiring” and moving to Lubbock to be closer to her family! When Meegan isn’t filling the front desk with her kind smile she loves gardening (and loves trying to new recipes with her harvest), horses, traveling and spending time with her family!
Miranda – Registered Dental Hygienist
As a registered dental hygienist, Miranda is committed to providing compassionate and excellent dental care to our community as she was born and raised in West Texas. She is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of patients through ensuring their oral health is well taken care of and they are educated about their beautiful smiles. When Miranda isn’t helping patients at Lone Star Smiles, she likes to spend time with her cat and go on walks with her dog. She also likes to go on roadtrips with her parents and sisters. She hopes to go on a road trip to Destin, Florida soon to see the beautiful beach!
Tina – Patient Care Coordinator
Tina was born and raised in Iowa but has been in Texas with her family for 10 years now! Tina loves music, stand up comedy, crafts and spending time with her family and close friends. Tina finds peace in gardening and making others laugh and smile. Tina loves to share her bubbly personality and bright smile with all of the patients when they walk into or call Lone Star Smiles. She is our very own ray of sunshine!
Elizabeth- Dental Hygienist
Elizabeth graduated from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas in May 2001 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. She has lived in Texas all her life and is originally from the Texas Panhandle. Elizabeth and her husband, Aaron, relocated to Lubbock from Sherman, Texas in June 2024. Aaron and Elizabeth have two sons named Keegan and Kaiden. Elizabeth enjoys being involved in her children’s sporting events, and she enjoys spending time with her family. Elizabeth is bilingual and provides professional, compassionate, and quality care to all her patients. She takes pride in making her patients’ dental appointments as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
Millie – Dental Hygienist
Originally from the Oklahoma Panhandle, Millie is a proud 2018 graduate of Amarillo College and a bilingual professional who is passionate about her career. Known for her outgoing personality, attention to detail, and love of learning, she brings both energy and excellence to everything she does.
Millie’s work is rooted in connection, whether with patients, colleagues, or her community, and she thrives in environments where collaboration and growth are encouraged. She is highly organized, naturally curious, and always looking for ways to grow and stay ahead in her field.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially her two nieces, and staying active through workouts, outdoor adventures, and daily walks with her very spoiled French bulldog. She is also an avid reader and music lover, always on the lookout for new inspiration.
Millie believes in doing what you love, staying positive, and making every detail count.
